DspH-1B and DspH-3B POCKET PAL meters measure pH and conductivity in a compact one-hand operation. There are no electrode cables to fool with. The electrodes simply fold under the instrument for storage. Two test buttons control all operations. Temperature variations are automatically compensated for both pH and conductivity measurements. Easy screwdriver adjustments include Cal and Slope for pH, and Zero and Span for conductivity. The POCKET PAL operates on a 9-volt battery (included).
ELECTRODES
No more fumbling with electrodes and cables. The POCKET PAL electrodes fold into the instrument body for storage. When you are ready to make pH and conductivity measurements, simply deploy the electrodes into a 90º or 180º measurement position. Each electrode is independently user replaceable. A variety of pH electrodes are available including double junction and calomel reference types.
TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION
Temperature compensation is automatic for both the pH and conductivity measurements. Separate temperature sensors embedded in each electrode match the response to temperature change, compensating for variations in temperature to 25ºC. The compensation range is from 0 to 70ºC for pH, and 0 to 50ºC for conductivity. |

DISPLAY
Large black LCDs permit easy reading. 3 1/2 digits are provided for pH range; 4 1/2 digits for conductivity. The last digit in the conductivity mode is a dummy zero, eliminating the need for a x10 scale. Display prompts include pH, PPM and Lo-Batt.
TEST BUTTONS
Two tactile, watertight rubber switches operate all instrument functions and allow you to feel when contact is made. One button selects On/Off, the other selects pH or conductivity mode. This rugged material was selected to provide long life expectancy for the switches.
CALIBRATION ADJUSTMENTS
Four calibration potentiometers include Cal and Slope adjustments for pH and Zero and PPM adjustments for conductivity. Pots are positioned below the battery housing panel so they are easily accessible, yet out of the way during tests. Each pot is clearly labeled to avoid calibrating confusion. 10-turn potentiometers allow precise adjustments. Both pH and conductivity may be calibrated at two points to improve overall accuracy.
9 VOLT BATTERY
The DspH operates on a standard 9 V transistor battery. The easily accessible battery compartment is separated from the DspH circuitry, eliminating the chance for the battery leakage damage. The battery compartment cover stops in two positions, one to expose calibration adjustments, the other to completely access the battery.
